Husker Bar II was established in 1979. The bar was renovated out of the old Brainard Fire Hall, and opened on November 1, 1979.

Husker Bar II provides daily lunch specials and Friday night Fish Frys. The Kitchen is open daily till 10:00 p.m.. Weekday specials include Tuesdays "Taco Tuesday", Sunday dinner specials of either Fried Chicken or Roast Pork, Game Day Specials for athletes and coaches during seasons. Also Husker Bar II has video rental, on & off sale of beer, wine, and liquor, and sells Nebraska Game and Parks Licenses.
